The chicken rice is ok, but certainly not among the best we’ve had - not even in the top 10 in Singapore. The rice is not very fragrant. Confirms the fact that Michelin is not qualified to judge Asian food.
Dinner at Sing Swee Kee was great! Chicken rice was flavourful and had the right texture. It also pairs really well with the chilli. Definitely will come back!
Classic, fuss-free chicken rice that hits the spot. I get both poached and roasted chicken, drizzled with soy sauce and sesame oil, plus a light chicken broth on the side. The meat is tender and juicy and the rice pairs perfectly with the garlic chilli and dark soy sauce. Simple, comforting and exactly what I’d expect from a good old-school chicken rice plate.

Good chicken but stingy af. I finished in 3 minutes.
Tried to hide from the morning cold (because brrr 🥶)… but my folk had other plans and dragged me out to run errands today. 😅
Thankfully, I ended up being rewarded with a hearty plate of thick, chunky and tender brisket braised in savoury gravy, paired with springy noodles, soft radish and slippery jelly tendons that totally made my day! ❤️

Can you believe the last time I ate this they're stilled called Carona? It's been decades. Somemore not easy with the queues and timings. I wolfed it down. It's simply a very fragrant plate of chicken rice with delicious fried chicken.

The chicken is so on point, tender and juicy, chilli and ginger with dark soya sauce is a must, be mindful, the chilli is quite spicy, giving you the kick.
The hainanese chap chye and hotplate tofu are not bad, can order.
As for the cereal prawns, not bad as the prawns are quite plump but I wouldn’t say it is cereal prawns as I couldn’t really taste the cereal.
Overall, decent.

Oh no…… I’ve officially entered food coma mode 😵💫 after hopping through 3 eateries in a row (yes, I went all out 😅) today. Because this — ultra-thin, super crispy toast with generous slabs of butter and kaya spread is absolute perfection. 🧈🍞 My heart is full and my tummy’s even fuller. ☺️ Sometimes, the best kind of day is the one that ends in a delicious daze. 😴✨

Fancy takeaway. I found it okay nia. Chilli's quite hot. I guess the soy sauce was fragrant but virtually every chicken rice is.

Tried the two most recommended 👍🏻 dishes from this beloved stall at Beauty World Food Centre — the soya sauce chicken and the comforting dumpling + wanton soup.
The chicken drumstick is meaty and tender with silky, well-marinated skin. And those dumplings and wantons are loaded with juicy prawns and seasoned minced meat — every bite is so hearty and satisfying. 😋
